Laws ponders Byrne appeal

Scunthorpe United manager Brian Laws has indicated that he will consider appealing against the decision to send Cliff Byrne off during Saturday's derby defeat at Boston United.

Byrne was shown a straight red card after appearing to bring down Boston midfielder Mark Greaves but Laws was unhappy with the decision.

"There was no way Cliff went to try and hurt anybody," said Laws.

"It might have been a yellow card for being late, but I don't even think it was that.

"I'm looking forward to seeing it again on television, and maybe even appealing against it."
