Knill thankful for vital away point
Scunthorpe manager Alan Knill reflected positively on a valuable point in his side's bid to escape relegation from the npower Championship as they drew 1-1 at Coventry.Marlon King broke the deadlock for the Sky Blues with his 12th goal of the season after just five minutes. His early opener was cancelled out in the 38th minute by a deflected effort from impressive on-loan Leeds winger Ramon Nunez.Yet an entertaining encounter at the Ricoh Arena could easily have gone either way as both sides passed up chances to claim all three points - King, Lukas Jutkiewicz and Freddy Eastwood wasting openings for Coventry while Bobby Grant and Michael Collins fluffed great opportunities for the Iron. The scoreline, combined with Crystal Palace's goalless draw at Doncaster, means the scrap to avoid relegation remains unchanged with now just three matches remaining - Scunthorpe sitting three points adrift of the Eagles in the final relegation spot.Knill said: "Absolutely it's a valuable point. If you can't win then don't lose, it's always a point in the right direction."We all have three games left, you don't know what happens. Everybody has tough fixtures, like ourselves, but if you show that commitment and effort you give yourself a chance. And that's all we're doing."
