Scunthorpe United have continued their preparations for the Championship by snapping up Sheffield United striker Jonathan Forte and Martin Paterson from Stoke City.
Forte has signed a three-year deal with The Iron following his release from Bramall Lane. The 20-year-old made 30 League appearances for the Blades, although 28 were from the substitute's bench.
He has also spent three loan spells with Doncaster Rovers and one period at Rotherham United.
Paterson has penned a two-year deal with United after falling out of contract at Stoke.
The 20-year-old forward made two League starts and 13 substitute appearances for the Potters and scored six goals in 15 matches during a loan spell at Grimsby Town last term.
