Iron face Foxes showdown

Scunthorpe United midfielder Jim Goodwin accepts that his side face a make-or-break clash with Leicester City next weekend.

The Iron are six points adrift of the Foxes and the safety mark in the Championship, with the Walkers Stadium clash next Saturday a crucial point of both clubs' season.

Goodwin told the Evening Telegraph: "We have to believe that we can go to Leicester and win, it's a six-pointer. If we don't win then basically we're down, we've got to look at it like that.

"It's not really a nervous time, but the expectations are there and that brings a lot of added pressure.

"But we're professional footballers and this is what we're paid to do. We've got to be able to withstand that.

"If we're going to go down, we'll go down with a fight. Until it's mathematically impossible to stay up then we'll all keep going, because we're all professional enough to do that."
