Scunthorpe United have signed Millwall striker Ben May on a three-month loan.

The 23-year-old has scored once in eight appearances this season for the Lions, having been loaned out to Colchester United and Brentford earlier on in his career.

Meanwhile, Iron midfielder Alex Morfaw is expected to be sidelined for around six weeks after undergoing surgery on ankle injury that has delayed his debut for Scunthorpe.

Manager Nigel Adkins told the club's official website: "Alex has had arthroscopy on his ankle to tidy it up a bit and now he is ready to start training.

"This is his pre-season. We need to put together a six-week fitness programme.

"He has got a tremendous amount of talent and we see him playing a part this season. That's why we signed him."
