Iron bring in loanee Odejayi

Scunthorpe United have snapped up striker Kayode Odejayi on an initial month's loan from Barnsley.

The 27-year-old has scored just once for the Tykes this season, but Iron boss Nigel Adkins is backing the big frontman to be a success at Glanford Park.

He told the Evening Telegraph: "I've been aware of him since his Cheltenham days.

"On his day he can be a massive handful and almost unplayable for any defence.

"We have got to try to utilise his assets to get the best out of the players we already have here. His presence will be a big help to the likes of Gary Hooper and Paul Hayes."
