Scunthorpe United have been handed a blow after being told that former Swansea City defender Izzy Iriekpen faces a further two months on the sidelines.
The 25-year-old, who has started only three games for Nigel Adkins' side since his summer switch from the Swans, has missed the last two months with a groin problem.
He returned to training earlier this month, only to pick up a knee injury in a practice match last week.
A scan has confirmed that the defender has torn part of his cartilage which needs to be reset.
