Horlock signs for Iron

Scunthorpe United have signed veteran midfielder Kevin Horlock on a free transfer after League One side Doncaster Rovers cancelled his contract.

Horlock, 35, has signed a deal until the end-of-the-season, after his contract was cancelled by mutual consent.

The ex-Manchester City, West Ham United and Swindon Town star has missed the majority of this season with a shoulder injury, after previous enduring long spells on the sidelines.

He had joined Doncaster after a spell at Ipswich Town.

The experienced midfielder made over 200 appearances for Manchester City where he starred in the Premier League. He also competed at the top level with West Ham and Swindon.
