Hooper happy with Iron

Scunthorpe United striker Gary Hooper is keen to pledge his long-term future to the club.

The 21-year-old, who has already scored 27 goals for the Iron this term, still has over two years left on his existing Glanford Park deal, but is keen to commit himself to an even longer contract.

"I wouldn't mind but we've got to wait and see what the gaffer and chairman say and hopefully it'll get done soon," he said.

"This is a good club who are hopefully looking to get promoted so it would be nice to sign another deal."
