Godden wants to impress
Matt Godden hopes a run of games at Dartford can secure a place in the Iron's first team or a move away from Glanford Park. The striker, who has joined the Darts for a month, is out of contract at Glanford Park at the end of the season.
The 22-year-old told BBC Radio Kent: "It's a massive year for me, whether it's at Scunthorpe or here.
"I need to get back into Scunthorpe's first team and look at the bigger picture next year."
He added: "Whether I'm playing in Scunthorpe's first team because I've impressed when I've gone back or impressed other clubs, that's my main aim when I'm here."
Godden marked his return to Kent with a goal on his debut, scoring the equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Salisbury City on Tuesday and is just happy to be playing.
"When I got injured at Scunthorpe, the manager was praising me but they had to bring in reinforcements. When I went back into training the other week, there were six strikers.
"Even if I am three, four or two in the pecking order, I need to be playing football.
"There's no way a manager's going to put me into his first team in the Football League without playing a single game of football. I need games."
