Godden joins Ebbslfeet on loan

Scunthorpe back-up striker Matt Godden has joined Ebbsfleet on loan, as Iron manager Brian Laws continues to free up budget space to add to his squad.

Godden, 21, will spend the next month with Liam Daish's side, who battling against relegation from the Blue Square Premier.

It is his second loan move of the campaign, having made four appearances for Blue Square North Side Gainsborough.

Godden's move will free up some space in the Iron's playing budget, with midfielder Matty Sparrow expected to return on loan from Championship side Brighton.
