Scunthorpe United striker Jonathan Forte is prepared to be patient as he looks to force his way into the club's in-form frontline.
Forte, 22, has not started a League One game for the Iron this season after seeing his route to the first team blocked by Gary Hooper and Paul Hayes.
But, despite a frustrating start to the new season, Forte is happy to wait for his opportunity with the current table-toppers.
He told the club's official website: "I've played in the reserves recently and I'm feeling match-fit, so I just hope that the gaffer can give me a chance soon.
"I accept that with the form Paul Hayes and Gary Hooper are in though it will be very hard to do at the moment.
"We have a quality squad here, there's strength all over the pitch and that is why we are where we are in the league.
"If we were losing every week, I would be disappointed. But we're winning every week, so I appreciate it's hard for the manager.
"I'm happy at this club and, hopefully, when I get a chance I'll take it."
