Scunthorpe United duo Marcus Williams and Dave Mulligan have been ruled out of the crucial League One clash with Bristol City after a breach of club discipline over the weekend.

A win for The Iron in Monday's crunch match would lift them back to the top of the table, but boss Nigel Adkins will go into the game without two of his key players.

"They will not be considered for tonight's (Monday's) game because of a breach of club discipline," Adkins confirmed on the club's official website.

"We will make a statement later in the week but right now we are trying to focus on beating Bristol."
