Byrne pens new Iron deal

Scunthorpe United have agreed a new two-year contract with defender Cliff Byrne.
The 26-year-old full-back still had 12 months remaining on his existing deal, but Iron boss Nigel Adkins was keen to tie him down to a longer term deal.
Byrne joined United from Sunderland on a permanent basis in 2003 and has made over 180 appearances for the club.
He will now remain at Glanford Park until 2010.
