Baraclough waits on Jones

Scunthorpe boss Ian Baraclough will assess the fitness of defender Rob Jones ahead of the home clash with Cardiff.The towering centre-back could be back in contention against the Bluebirds after missing the last four games with a broken bone in his hand.David Mirfin has been ruled out for several weeks with a foot injury and Jones` return to contention would boost an Iron side that have won just once on home soil this season.Mirfin is out for another month with a foot injury but winger Garry Thompson is expected to be available again after a recent groin injury.Defender Jim McNulty is nursing an ankle injury and the visit of the promotion-chasing Bluebirds may come too soon.
