Baraclough in player hunt

Scunthorpe manager Ian Baraclough revealed he is "working hard" to boost his squad next month after seeing his side win 2-0 at former boss Brian Laws' Burnley.Highly-rated Martyn Woolford, 25, struck in the 14th minute with a clinical left-foot finish to register his seventh goal of the season and then turned provider for Chris Dagnall to claim a killer second with six minutes remaining and seal a superb win for Baraclough's men, who have done no favours for Laws.Baraclough, whose side ended a five-match losing streak in their first game since December 4, said: "We're working hard to bring people in, and one or two of those might come off. I don't want to let anyone go, and we've had no enquiries for our players."He added: "It's a long time since we've had a game, so it's been frustrating for all the staff and players. It's been weeks since the game at Millwall, and so a long time to wait to put things right."Another victory away from home against a team who were in form at home, so it's a great credit to the players."You train all the time and you want something at the end of it, and it's been frustrating. We've put almost a full pre-season since our last game. We dealt with everything which was thrown at us, and that's down to a few days work. We knew what Burnley would throw at us, and we dealt with it well."
