Adkins fears Milne setback

Scunthorpe United boss Nigel Adkins has admitted to being concerned that defender Kenny Milne has been struggling with a knee problem shortly after returning to action from a career-threatening injury.

The 30-year-old featured as a substitute in the 1-0 FA Cup third round win over Barnsley two weeks ago, but has since been troubled during training with the Iron squad.

Adkins told the club's official website: "It took him a bit longer than expected to settle down from his comeback game against Barnsley and he trained well for an hour on Tuesday, but his knee was sore after that.

"Obviously it's disappointing and it's something that we've got to address at this moment in time.

"I can't give any more information on that for the simple reason that we're trying to get him fit."
