Scunthorpe United manager Nigel Adkins has bolstered his wafer-thin squad by signing the Arsenal youngster Henri Lansbury on loan.
The 18-year-old midfielder has made four substitute appearances for the Gunners, all in the Carling Cup.
Adkins told the Iron's official website: "We only have 16 or 17 players fit at the moment and Henri's a player I've watched for over a year.
"I've watched him myself four or five times and he's an exciting talent. It's very pleasing that an established club like Arsenal have let us have him.
"There's a good culture at this football club, where we allow players to learn their trade, treat them in the right way to develop, and that's what we are a, developmental club."
