Adkins: Tie perfectly poised

Scunthorpe United manager Nigel Adkins believes his side's play-off semi-final against MK Dons is perfectly poised following Friday's 1-1 first leg draw.

Martyn Woolford had fired the Iron into an early lead at Glanford Park, but Aaron Wilbraham's equaliser has left the tie on a knife-edge ahead of next week's second leg.

"It was a good result from our point of view because we know we've got to go down there and win," said Adkins.

"We got on the front foot, played a high tempo, gave them problems and we've got to be pleased with that.

"We're in the tie, that's what we wanted to do. They know that we've beaten them already this season with a really good performance so they know we can go down there and get a good result and it's all to play for."
