United waiting for Nolan answer

Scunthorpe United are waiting for an answer from Eddie Nolan as to whether he will sign a permanent deal with the club. Nolan has impressed at left back during his loan spell with United, who have agreed a fee with Preston for his services- and a contract offer is on the table for the Irish defender. Baraclough told BBC Radio Humberside, "We are going to speak to him and his agent, there has to be a cut off point. "We have to sit down with Eddie and get some sort of answer" The Iron boss also admitted he has two or three options if Nolan does not opt to join United on a permanent basis - adding, "Don't forget Eddie is a right back, so we still need to bring a left sided player into the club" He confirmed no bids have been lodged at present for any of United's players, and also conceeded Brighton's Jim McNulty would be very "difficult" to sign on a permanent deal because of an injury which sees the left back needing an operation on a troublesome ankle.
