Thompson happy with Iron progress
The Iron were promoted via the play-offs in May and have performed well on their return to the second tier.[LNB]They are currently five points clear of the relegation zone and ahead of the Boxing Day game at Middlesbrough, Thompson is pleased with how he and his team-mates are progressing.[LNB]"Obviously your opponent is much better in the Championship and you're punished more for your mistakes," said the 29-year-old.[LNB]"I think that's the main thing we've learnt as a club this year. You've got to give 100% every game or you get turned over.[LNB]"You've got to take your chances when you get them, and be as solid as you can at the back."[LNB][LNB]
