Doncaster have agreed to allow Syers to extend his loan stint to the beginning of the December but he has yet to be given permission to play in Saturday's FA Cup game against Grimsby Town.
“We’ve agreed with Doncaster to allow him to stay with us for another month," Iron boss Brian Laws told the Scunthorpe Telegraph.
“We’re still in negotiations about whether he can play in the FA Cup or not but we probably won’t find out until later in the week".
