Supporter award for Hayes
Paul Hayes was named United's supporters player of the year on Sunday night. Hayes, 26, took the award at the Official Supporters Club (SUOSC) award ceremony. He added it to Irish Iron, London and South-East Supporters Club and Winterton Iron prizes. He scored 13 goals this season, but his future is uncertain as he is out of contract this summer. David Mirfin, the centre-back, was named the SUOSC away player of the year, Garry Thompson the Iron Bar player of the season and Richard Dean the youth player of the year. Sunday night's ceremony was the first of two end-of-season award ceremonies, with the club holding their official presentation night on Tuesday.
