Spence eyeing positive response
The Iron were looking to make it a hat-trick of wins after consecutive triumphs over Sheffield United and Newcastle but were overrun at London Road.
And Spence is hoping for an immediate reaction.
"It was a very disappointing result and we were unhappy with the performance too - especially on the back of two great wins," he told the official website.
"We came here full of confidence and we shouldn't have lost the game like that. We need to perform better than that, it's hard to keep the same intensity of play for three games in a week.
"You don't go into any game expecting to win, but we knew we were capable of getting one and that's what's so disappointing."
