Sparrow keen to stay with Iron

The long-serving midfielder has struggled to hold down a place in the starting line-up this season and with his contract running at the end of the campaign, the 28-year-old is determined to make an impact in the Championship in a bid to secure a new deal.[LNB]"Leaving has never entered my head," Sparrow told the Scunthorpe Telegraph. "There are a lot of us out of contract at the end of the season and I know you need to be playing football when that's the case, especially when January comes, because then you've only got a few months left to prove you're worthy of another contract.[LNB]"Whether it's here of somewhere else, you just want to be playing games.[LNB]"I want a new deal here.
