Sky Blues boss dismisses rumours
Hooper, 21, had been linked with a summer switch to the Ricoh Arena while the Sky Blues were also believed to be weighing up a move for 25-year-old midfielder Fotheringham after he was released by relegated Norwich.
Coleman told the Coventry Telegraph: "There is no truth in Hooper and there is no truth in Fotheringham.
"There will be stories about some of our players leaving that won't be true and there will be stories about players we are going to sign and they won't be true, but there is nothing we can do about that.
"Out of respect to the players we are after and their clubs, I won't mention their names, but we are looking to bring in players."
