Skipper enjoying Mirfin partnership
Jones, a club record signing from Hibernian this summer, and Mirfin impressed once again in the 3-1 defeat of Preston on Tuesday night just three days after shutting out Crystal Palace in a 4-0 victory.
Jones told the club's official website: "When Mirf is on the pitch it makes a difference. I think it's only the third game we've played together since I arrived, so we're getting there.
"David is a fantastic defender, he puts his head where other people wouldn't. He defends properly and is a pleasure to play alongside."
