Slocombe set for home outing

Scunthorpe goalkeeper Sam Slocombe will make his first home appearance of the season in Sunday's FA Cup clash with Worcester.

Slocombe sustained a shoulder injury in the second game of the season and returned at the beginning of November. All six of his appearances this season have been away from Glanford Park.

Recent signing Richard Brindley is hoping to make his first appearance for the club after missing last week's win at Barnsley as he was not 100 per cent fit while Alex Davey, on loan from Chelsea, is expected to resume in defence.

Boss Mark Robins must decide whether to retain winger Terry Hawkridge at right-back due to Eddie Nolan's ankle injury which will keep him out until the new year

Nathan Vaughan is fit again so Worcester boss Carl Heeley will have a full squad to select from.

The goalkeeper missed Monday's match at Hyde with a stiff neck. Jose Viega, who kept a clean sheet as Vaughan's replacement at Ewen Fields, came through the game without a setback having also been out injured recently.

Sean Geddes, who this week became an internet sensation following his 'Rabona' chip goal against Barrow, Danny Jackman, Ellis Deeney, Wayne Thomas, Jacob Rowe, Tyler Weir, Connor Gater & Nick Wright are also unscathed after the Hyde win.

George Williams, Graham Hutchison, Jordan Murphy and Daniel Nti all sat out the 3-0 victory at Hyde and return to the squad.
