Same again for Scunthorpe

Scunthorpe caretaker boss Russ Wilcox is expected to select his starting line-up for the home game against Morecambe from an unchanged squad.

Wilcox, who has guided the Iron to three wins and a draw since Brian Laws was sacked at the end of last month, has no new injury concerns, but will still be without several key first-team players.

Defender Andy Dawson has missed the last two games due to a hip injury, Matt Sparrow is still struggling with a hamstring problem and fellow midfielder Michael Collins will not feature after missing last week's draw at Wycombe with a calf strain.

New signing Paul Hayes, back for a third spell at the club, is not eligible to play until January 4.

Kevin Ellison is set to make a shock return for Morecambe.

The forward was ruled out for a month at the start of December after fracturing an eye socket in the act of scoring the winner against Mansfield, but boss Jim Bentley revealed he has received positive news from the specialist and is ready to throw him back in on Saturday ahead of schedule.

Bentley has good news elsewhere too because as well as Alex Kenyon's return from a one-match suspension, fellow midfielder Ryan Williams has overcome a hamstring problem to make the squad.

The Shrimps have concerns over winger Marcus Marshall and defender Chris Doyle, both players sustaining knocks in the reserves' midweek victory, while midfielder Joe McGee has been struggling with illness this week.
