Dawson to return against Daggers

Scunthorpe defender Andy Dawson is expected to return to the starting line-up against Dagenham.

Dawson missed last week's draw at Bristol Rovers due to his testimonial at former club Hull and boss Brian Laws must decide how to accommodate him in his back four.

Midfielder Sean McAllister overcame an ankle knock to start last week and is likely to continue, but summer signing Etienne Esajas is still working on his match fitness and will look to make his debut next week.

Striker Chris Iwelumo is pushing for his first start for the club after stepping off the substitutes' bench in the first three matches and Jordan Clark, on loan from Barnsley, is hoping to feature.

Dagenham are likely to be unchanged.

The Daggers recorded their maiden victory of the new season with last weekend's 2-0 triumph at home to York and manager Wayne Burnett is set to keep faith with the same starting XI.

Burnett has no new injury or suspension concerns to contend with at Glanford Park.

Midfielder Matt Saunders (foot) and defender Luke Wilkinson (groin) are back in full training but the encounter comes just too soon for the duo.
