Robins set to keep faith

Scunthorpe's new manager Mark Robins is not expected to make too many changes for the home game against Colchester as he takes charge for the first time.

Robins has no major new injury or suspension worries to consider after replacing Russ Wilcox as boss earlier in the week, while striker Deon Burton is hoping to feature again after stepping off the bench last week following a knee injury.

Winger Jennison Myrie-Williams and defender Shaun Brisley returned to the starting line-up in last week's win at Gillingham, while Terry Hawkridge and Miguel Llera are pushing for recalls.

Striker Rory Fallon is likely to resume up front alongside Paddy Madden as the Iron bid for their first home win in four games in all competitions.

Colchester are boosted by the news that three key players have committed their futures to the club.

Defenders Tom Eastman and Frankie Kent, plus winger Gavin Massey have all signed new deals with the U's as boss Tony Humes builds a settled side.

Veteran defender David Wright is set for a spell on the sidelines after picking up a thigh injury in training, though, while young winger Drey Wright took a knock to the knee in an under-21s game on Monday night.

However, captain Magnus Okuonghae is poised to return and raring to go after working back up to full fitness following the completion of a four-match ban.
