Loanees back for Iron

Scunthorpe's on-loan trio Tom Hopper, Liam O'Neil and Jacob Murphy, plus new signing Jordan Clarke, will all be in contention for the home game against Bristol City.

Striker Hopper (Leicester) and winger Murphy (Norwich) both made their debuts in last week's win at Walsall but were ineligible for the midweek FA Cup replay defeat at Chesterfield.

Midfielder O'Neil (West Brom) and defender Jordan Clarke, a permanent signing from Coventry last week, were also ineligible, with the latter hoping to make his debut for the club.

Defender Marcus Williams will be assessed after sustaining an ankle injury at Chesterfield, while midfielder Isaiah Osbourne may be rested after returning to action in midweek following illness.

Bristol City take two new signings to Scunthorpe.

Wolves midfielder George Saville and Wigan defender James Tavernier joined on loan on Thursday and the pair will be involved in the party that journeys north.

Boss Steve Cotterill made three changes for the midweek win over Doncaster in the FA Cup and all three, Joe Bryan, Luke Freeman and Wade Elliott, could return to the starting line-up.

City lost top spot to Swindon on Monday night but have only lost one match since November 22.
