Paddy Madden set to return to Scunthorpe squad for Blackpool clash

Striker Paddy Madden is likely to return to the Scunthorpe starting line-up for the visit of Blackpool in Sky Bet League One.

Madden came off the bench in the midweek Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash against Barnsley as manager Mark Robins made five changes.

Goalkeeper Luke Daniels must wait to see if he has done enough to keep his place in the side after Tuesday's loss.

Daniels was sent off in the opening match of the season and has had to bide his time since with Joe Anyon taking over.

Midfielder David Norris could make his Blackpool debut after moving to Bloomfield Road on a free.

The 34-year-old left Yeovil on deadline day following a short stint in the west country and pitched up with Neil McDonald's men on Thursday.

The bottom-of-the-table Seasiders have had goalkeeper Colin Doyle (shoulder) and midfielder John Herron (knee) back in training this week.

McDonald will run the rule over the pair on training on Friday and, provided they come through unscathed, they could feature, in Herron's case for the first time this year, and in Doyle's since the opening game of the season.
