Scunthorpe United v Preston North End Live

No new worries for Baraclough Scunthorpe boss Ian Baraclough has no fresh injury worries for the home clash with Preston but a number of players remain sidelined through injury. Goalkeeper Joe Murphy looks set to miss out again with the ankle problem that ruled him out of last weekend's goalless home draw with Burnley. Defensive duo Cliff Byrne and Rob Jones are bidding to shake off injuries and could come into contention and centre-back David Mirfin has been passed fit for action. However, rookie defender Niall Canavan, midfielder Michael O`Connor and winger Garry Thompson remain long-term absentees as the Iron seek to record a win that would lift them out of the drop zone. Baraclough is also hoping to add firepower to his squad before the transfer window closes. Leon Cort is available for Preston after extending his loan until the end of the season. The Burnley centre-back, who has started five times for the Lilywhites so far this term, will now remain at Deepdale until after North End's last game of the campaign against Watford. However, Cort will be unavailable to play against parent club Burnley when the sides meet on Saturday, February 26. Preston boss Phil Brown will again be without on-loan Blackburn midfielder Amine Linganzi, who sustained a groin injury on his debut in the recent 1-1 draw at home to Leicester. The midfielder underwent surgery this week and faces up to six weeks out, while Callum Davidson and Wayne Brown could also remain sidelined through injury.
