Sammon - I`m happy with Killie

Kilmarnock striker Conor Sammon insists he is in the dark over a potential move to Scunthorpe. Rugby Park manager Mixu Paatelainen said after the 1-1 home draw with St Johnstone in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League that the two clubs had agreed a fee and that a final decision would be left up to the player. However, Sammon - who opened the scoring against the Saints to take his tally for the season to 16 goals - says he is simply preparing as usual for the Ayrshire side's next game, the Tuesday visit of Hearts, in which he currently expects to be involved. Speaking after Saturday's match, he said: "I haven't heard any different, I've just heard the stories in the papers that Scunthorpe were interested, but I'm focusing on training as usual. "I haven't discussed it with the manager; our next match is on Tuesday so that's all I'm focusing on and if things change in the meantime, I'm sure I'll be told about it and I'll sit down and take it from there. "I'm very happy at Kilmarnock - this season has been very enjoyable and successful for the club and for me on a personal level as well, as I have a brilliant manager here who's helped me along and I feel I can improve further under him. I'm an ambitious player and I've always wanted to play at the highest level possible; I'll continue to train and work at my game to keep improving and see where it takes me."
