Ribeiro fit again

Christian Ribeiro has recovered from the groin injury he picked up at Northampton and will be in the squad for Saturday's game with Exeter.

Ribeiro limped off during the 1-1 draw at Sixfields to the disappointment of Iron boss Brian Laws, who then apologised after a scan ruled him out for 4-6 weeks.

“Christian has been training, but for us he’s not yet trained enough", Laws told the club's official website.“We want to train him harder. “He’s going to be in the full swing of things with the team on Thursday, but at the moment he’s working really hard individually.“We could have played him in the reserve game against Grimsby Town on Tuesday, but I think he will benefit more from the training sessions, particularly being able to control his contact.“His fitness levels are excellent, so if necessary, he will be on the bench at the weekend. It doesn’t necessarily mean he has to play a reserve game.”

Meanwhile club captain Michael Collins and Eddie Nolan are also close to a return to first team action.

“Hopefully within the next two or three weeks all of them will be back in the side."
