Preston value Nolan at £100,000
Should Scunthorpe seek to sign defender Eddie Nolan when his loan expires in January they can expect to have to pay £100,000. That is the fee Sheffield Wednesday were quoted by Preston North End as they sought to add him to their squad. The Owls were unable to afford the fee for the Republic of Ireland defender who ended last season on loan at Hillsborough. Nolan, 21, joined the Iron this week on loan until January with a view to making the move permanent.
