Preston game called off
Scunthorpe's Championship game against Preston North End on Saturday was postponed due to a frozen pitch. Referee Darren Sheldrake carried out pitch inspections at 10.45am and 11.45, and called the match off just before noon. Despite covers on the pitch, areas in the goalmouth were frozen and unplayable.
