Pearson disappointed with Iron draw

Martyn Waghorn had given the Foxes a flying start when he scored his fourth goal of the season after just two minutes.[LNB]Leicester should have wrapped up victory but Martyn Woolford scored a goal deep into injury time to claim a point for the Iron and punish the visitors for failing to capitalise on their domination.[LNB]Pearson: "I am disappointed because we had chances in the first half to score more goals.[LNB]"But I am not going to have a go at my players because overall this was another good away performance.[LNB]"There was just one ball into the box that we did not deal with - and it has cost us.[LNB]"But we have scored a lot of late goals to win games in recent weeks. Today it was somebody else's turn to do the same to us."[LNB]Waghorn, on loan from Sunderland, provided the Foxes with an ideal start and it was then only two outstanding saves from Joe Murphy that kept Scunthorpe in the game, the goalkeeper turning away a deflected shot from Matty Fryatt and then beating away a bullet header from Yann Kermorgant.[LNB]Scunthorpe pressed after the interval but seldom threatened an equaliser against a City defence in which skipper Wayne Brown was always a commanding figure.[LNB]Time seemed to have run out for the home side until the third minute of stoppage time when Woolford crashed a low shot through a crowded box into the bottom far corner of the net.[LNB]"After four successive defeats, this was an important result for us," confessed manager Nigel Adkins.[LNB]"And I thought we deserved it.[LNB]"Obviously we made life difficult for ourselves by giving away a poor goal in the opening few minutes.[LNB]"Leicester are a difficult side to break down and don't concede many goals.[LNB]"But we showed great spirit, we kept going until the end and finally got the goal we deserved.[LNB]"Wooly has a habit of scoring some important goals for us and this was another. It keeps us ticking over.[LNB]"Our home form has generally been good this season, and this was another good result for us against a team up there near the top of the table."[LNB][LNB]
