Mirfin: No excuses
Scunthorpe defender David Mirfin is refusing to blame the club's off-field struggles for their dire predicament on the pitch.
The Iron are second-bottom of the npower Championship and last week axed boss Ian Baraclough.
As the club steps up the search for Baraclough's successor, Mirfin says the uncertainty cannot be used as an excuse for the club's woeful run of form.
"At this stage of the season, not having a manager magnifies the predicament we are in," he said. "But it is too easy for players to turn around and say it is maybe a shambles and we have no-one in charge.
"The level of commitment and attitude should be the same."
