Mirfin desperate for a 'good run'

The 24-year-old's pre-season training schedule was curtailed due to an ankle injury and after returning to the side a groin problem has forced him to miss the Iron's last two matches. Mirfin told the Scunthorpe Telegraph: "I think frustration is the word. With me missing most of pre-season, it was always going to be a setback. "Sometimes you do have these little niggling injuries that come on. It's up to me to get as fit as I can with this break and make sure I'm right to have a good run in the team. "I've trained as normal, so hopefully I won't get any reaction to it. I didn't really want to take the risk at Forest or Plymouth to make it worse. It just didn't settle down as much as we wanted it to."
