McDonald back at Glanford Park

Scunthorpe have been boosted after on-loan Burnley midfielder Kevin McDonald returned to the club following treatment on a back injury. McDonald joined the Iron last month but sustained the injury on his first training session with Ian Baraclough's men and went back to his parent club for treatment. However, he has now returned to Glanford Park and could come into contention to make his debut in Saturday's trip to local rivals Hull. David Mirfin (foot), Martyn Woolford (groin) and Sam Togwell (leg) all sat out training on Monday, so McDonald's return would serve as a major boost to Baraclough's men.
