Laws excused for ref rant

The decision to send Iron manager Brian Laws to the stands during the half-time break at Yeovil Town has been rescinded.

Laws was told by the referee, Dean Whitestone, on his way out for the second period to watch the second half from the stand after the Iron boss protested about the dangerous tackle from Byron Webster which ended Akpo Sodje's afternoon.

Whitestone also awarded Yeovil a penalty, when replays show Callum Kennedy made clear contact with the ball.

Laws said: "The referee's report has come in and they have dropped everything against me from the weekend after reviewing the footage of the incident. "This means that I will not face any further charges and I will be on the touchline for Saturday's match at home to Hartlepool."
