Bury have issued a statement insisting boss Alan Knill is "going nowhere" amid speculation linking him with the vacant managerial position at Scunthorpe. Knill has attracted admiring glances for his work at Gigg Lane and has been linked with the post at Glanford Park following Ian Baraclough`s recent sacking. Yet a statement from the Shakers, who lie second in League Two, said: "The club are aware of increasing speculation regarding Alan Knill and a vacant managerial position at another club. "The club wishes to state that currently we have nine games left of this season and are concentrating solely on securing promotion from League Two. "With nine games remaining, we wish to categorically state that Alan Knill is going nowhere."
