Jennings can play for Macc in FA Cup

Iron striker Connor Jennings has been given permission to play in the FA Cup for loan club Macclesfield.

Jennings has netted six goals in his last five games for the Silkmen and can now play in their fourth round qualifying game with Vauxhall Motors.

Despite not been in Iron boss Brian Laws' first team squad plans, he is happy with the progress the former Stalybridge man is making at Moss Rose.

“Connor started slowly but has come back to score some goals. “He’s found it very difficult breaking through to our team, but maybe he will come back as a different player, a different personality.

It’s certainly benefitting him playing games.”
