Associate director Lee Collinson has announced his retirement from the Scunthorpe board plus the latest on Eddie Nolan. Scunthorpe United announced this morning that associate director Lee Collinson has announced his resignation as the role is no longer compatible with his changed business commitments.

A statement on the official website read: "The chairman and the board of directors thank Lee for all his support over recent years and know that he will remain a strong supporter of the club."   Meanwhile Eddie Nolan may be offered a short term deal at the club according to Brian Laws.   Laws is due to meet the board on Thursday to attempt thrash out a deal for Nolan, but admits it may have to be a pay as you play contract.   “Eddie has found himself in one of these positions which I would dread myself as a player,” said Laws.

“You’re a good player, you’ve done extremely well for yourself yet you find yourself at the age of 24 with no football club.

“We’ve got a board meeting on Thursday and we’ll discuss whether we can do anything because I think one of the weakest areas we have is at full back.
