Iron set to remain unchanged
The Iron were 4-0 winners at Selhurst Park at the weekend and Adkins will reward those involved by naming an unchanged team to face Alan Irvine's men.
That means Jonathan Forte will again lead the line in attack with Gary Hooper forced to bide his time on the bench, with Rob Jones and David Mirfin continuing at the centre of defence.
Andrew Wright will play for the reserves on Wednesday after returning two months early from a broken metatarsal, while Kenny Milne, who has been out for 13 months with a knee injury, will also hope to be involved for the second string.
