Scunthorpe United will reduce matchday admission prices following relegation to League One. The Iron's general manager David Beeby confirmed there would be a cut in prices at a fans forum held by BBC Radio Humberside at Glanford Park on Tuesday night. The exact prices will be announced on Saturday in the matchday programme for the Championship game against Portsmouth. Beeby also suggested that should the Iron win promotion back to the Championship again, they would simply add seats onto the current terrace rather than go through with the extension that had been proposed. Alan Knill, the Iron's first-team manager, and Chris Brass, his assistant, were also present. Knill suggested he would target the lower leagues for summer signings, as he seeks to add more "balance" to the squad. He revealed Bury had given him a target of finishing "10th to 12th" this season after reducing his playing budget by £200,000. He left the club on course for automatic promotion when he replaced Ian Baraclough at Glanford Park. Steve Wharton, the club's chairman, was unable to attend due to illness.
