Scunthorpe expect to complete the signings of two players - thought to be midfielders Andrew Tutte and Jimmy Ryan - next week. The Iron confirmed on Thursday that two targets had agreed to sign, but declined to reveal their names until the deals had been completed. Ryan, 22, is out-of-contract the the League Two side Accrington Stanley but as he is under the age of 24 his signing would require a transfer fee.The winger, who moved to Accrington from Shrewsbury in the summer of 2008, was named in the PFA League Two team of the year for last season.Stanley have said they value Taylor as highly as £750,000, but are unlikely to get anywhere near that - even if the final fee was settled by a transfer tribunal.Scunthorpe have had no contact with Accrington, but they are perfectly entitled to agree terms with the player before discussing compensation with his club.Tutte, 20, is a free agent who was released by the Premier League side Manchester City this summer. He has represented England at U19 and U20 level, and impressed with loan spells at Shrewsbury and Yeovil last season.
