Iron boss to keep rotating
Speaking ahead of his side's visit to Bristol City, Adkins revealed he will be making changes to the line-up that beat Preston during the week.
He told the Scunthorpe Telegraph: "If you look at all clubs now, it's very rare that they will select the same team two games running.
"The pace of the game and the physical and mental demands are such that it's difficult to do it Saturday-Tuesday, Saturday-Tuesday.
"ProZone have put the stats out that if you play on a Saturday and then a Tuesday, you cannot reproduce the amount of high-intensity sprints that you did in the previous game."
